Dear family and friends,
I'll be honest, I don't really have much motivation to
email right now, so if it's a bad email, sorry. This week was pretty good. A
lot of really funny experiences happened this week. Now that I say that, I
don't remember any of them. Oh yah! On Tuesday it was so dumb. There are
lesbians that live in the apartment underneath us and they HATE us! I think
it's because we're Mormons. I don't know. Anyway, we get complaints from them all the
time for being too loud. They leave notes on our door and things like that. We
were walking around in our kitchen. I have a new pair of shoes that have really
hard bottoms and they click against the tile when I walk. As I walked around they took a broom their ceiling,
so from the floor we heard this, "BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
BANG!" The next morning, we saw one of them so we waved and said “hi”,
just being nice. She just glared at us
and went the other direction. So, we have angry lesbians living under our
apartment. It's awesome... Not really...
We had a baptism! We had Andrea's baptism Saturday. It
was so awesome! By far the easiest convert baptism of my whole mission. Andrea was adopted into her family and it
finally went through. Her family is totally active in the church. Her dad is a ward missionary. It's great! So teaching her was fun and super easy because
she already knew everything. It was easy to get her to keep her commitments
too! Her baptism was great and there were a lot of people there. In the middle of the service their son Angel
who is 4, turned his head around toward Elder Edwards. Elder Edwards looked at
him and then suddenly Angel winked and turned back around! Haha! It was the funniest thing ever!
Not much else really happened. We are teaching quite a
bit, but no one is really progressing, so we're trying to find solid
investigators. Other than that things
are great. I can tell my medication is trying to work,
but tomorrow I'll up the dosage and it'll be fine I'm sure. The medicine
supposedly should make me tired so I'm supposed to take it at night. I'm pretty sure it has a reverse effect on
me. It keeps me up until 3 or 4 in the morning and then I'm exhausted all day
and have to nap. I'll be dead tired at the end of the day, take my meds, and
all the sudden I'm up forever! It's kind of annoying. Hopefully it subsides, but we'll see what
happens. I have another appointment with
my doctor on the 1st, so that'll be something to talk about for sure. Have a great week everyone!
Love,
Elder Mullins
