This
week, as usual, was great!   I don't remember a lot of what we did since I
don't have my journal with me, but the things I remember were great! We
did a ton of service on Tuesday. We went over to the Salvation Army
down the road a ways from us and helped organize some toys for them.
They have tons and tons of toys that have been donated for Sub for Santa. All of them were mixed together, so we spent  3 or 4
hours organizing it first into boy, girl, and Frozen stuff, then from
there we organized the toys by category like Barbies, or trucks, or
matchbox cars, or Legos.  After that service we went to
lunch at a place called Haven Burger which is really, really good!
Unfortunately, I forgot my jacket there and someone had claimed
it at the lost and found by the time I got back.   I'm going to
have to buy another jacket now. After lunch we went to my ward
mission leader's house and helped his wife with some service they
needed. Once a year or maybe twice the city will put out great
big dumpsters down certain streets so that people can throw anything
away they need to. We got there and helped throw away a giant pile of
wooden furniture that had been ruined in the flood back in September and
 a big pile of bricks.
Wednesday
I don't remember anything about other than the family night we had at
Silvercrest old folk's home. An 11 year old boy came and played Christmas
songs on his violin. He was pretty good for his age! He definitely has a
lot of potential if he keeps up the good work. His dad is a music
arranger/composer of a lot of church music, so he gets a lot of help
with his own arrangements. The Beehives also came and sang some
Christmas carols. I really enjoyed that family night!
Thursday
through Saturday are a bit of a blur for me right now. I think we might
have taught a couple of lessons, but other than, that not a ton of
significance.
Sunday
we woke up and went to Church at 9:00 for Centennial ward since next
transfer our Cornerstone and Centennial wards are going to be combined. The
two Elders covering Centennial are going home at the end of this
transfer, so that's the reason behind that. We've been doing some
exchanges so that it's not a total whitewash, so that's nice.
It was the Christmas program on Sunday.  It was a very enjoyable
sacrament meeting. I loved the primary kids singing!
Right
now I'm actually sitting on top of a mountain typing this up! It's
insane because this is the same hike we did last Monday that was crazy
difficult and exhausting, but the only difference is this time we biked
over to the trail head. It's a 21 mile bike ride one way and three and a
half miles up one way. It's super steep and is awful anyway, but with
the bike ride on top of it is just terrible. It'll be great to say we
did 50 miles in a day though!
Anyway, I love you all and will talk to you next week! Have a jovial Christmas!
Love,
Elder Mullins
